The purpose of the Iowa Water Festival is to raise public awareness about the quality of and the need to clean up our waterways for recreation and public health.
Through this public free event, Iowans will learn how to take action that will lead to long-term changes to improve water quality from speakers and experts and through educational activities, art, music and more. We’ve pulled together some of the top experts in their fields to explain what Iowa’s land originally looked like and the current condition of its river and water corridors. Presenters will share ways to promote waterway health and restore Iowa’s fertility using climate-smart agricultural practices.
